POMINI Long Rolling Mills modernizes a rolling mill of Celsa Group

POMINI Long Rolling Mills has been awarded a contract for the modernization of Celsa Armeringsstål, located at Mo I Rana in Norway. The existing rolling mill has been in operation since the 1980s, it was designed and supplied by Pomini SpA, predecessor of POMINI Long Rolling Mills.

The scope of the project includes the replacement of four G1 finishing stands with the latest generation RedRing Series 5 stands. The new stands will reuse the existing rolls and related change devices in the workshop. Similarly, the new rest bars will be compatible with existing rolling guides.

The supply will also include the documentation required by the Machinery Directive of the European Union, and will be completed by 2023.
