The Indian output of steel long products increased by some 70% in 2012-2021. The growth is expected to continue at an approximate rate of CAGR 6% until 2030. Central government policies like NSP and PLI are expected to foster said growth, both for common and special grades of steel. Thus, India is bound to remain a key market in the current decade and beyond.
